AKAFUKU English Site

Greetings

Thank you very much for your patronage of Akafuku.

Learning many lessons from the problems we faced in October 2007, we have been working very hard for the past year to prevent such problems from reoccurring, and have benefited from the efforts and guidance of many people outside the company. Everyone at Akafuku has been working together to review and improve our business operations. We were able to resume sales on February 6, and we are all extremely thankful and overjoyed by the fact that we are once again able to prepare our delicious Akafuku mochi for our customers.

The Kotaijingu Shrine watches over the happiness of all people. We shall continue to put every effort in providing shrine visitors from around the country with delicious mochi and piping hot tea.

The concept behind Akafuku comes from the saying, "Good faith and joy", a saying that begins and ends with the Chinese characters that form the name of Akafuku. With this as our driving motto, we devote ourselves to the loving creation of Akafuku mochi.

We hope you will take a short break from your travels to enjoy our delicious mochi and tea, or to take some Akafuku mochi home as a remembrance of your trip.

Company Motto and Guiding Precept

The expression “Sekishin Keifuku” means, “To have a true heart free from deception, like a child, finding joy in the happiness of oneself and others.” This reflects the spirit of those visiting the Jingu shrine. The pure feeling one experiences when walking along the road to the Ise Shrine promotes a true heart, and we can experience joy in the happiness these people feel, as if the happiness were our own. At Akafuku, we take “Sekishin Keifuku”, which is also the origin of the name of our firm and our product, as our corporate motto and guiding precept.
